Starting July 6th, there will be some changes to the way that GreenSky works on Credit for Comfort, so this guide aims to explain these changes in detail.
0.1 Loan Activation
GreenSky hopes to improve security for both customers and contractors, so starting on July 5th, customers will have to activate their loan directly from their own device, while contractors will be prohibited from activating an account for customers.
After a loan is approved:
GreenSky will text and/or email the Applicant (and Co-Applicant, if there is one) the activation link.
The Customer(s) activate the loan on their own devices. Once activated, you can process payments as usual. The activation process may include identity verification to better protect both your business and the customer.
If the account isn't activated right away, GreenSky sends the activation text or email again at the 24-hour and 48-hour marks to remind customers to activate.
If your customer isn't comfortable activating via text or email, they can visit greensky.com/activate. Or they can call Customer Service at 866.936.0602. They will need their Application ID number and the last 4 digits of their Social Security Number.
0.2 Merchant Training

Starting with our latest update to Credit for Comfort, GreenSky now requires that all users that use GreenSky through Credit for Comfort or GreenSky's Merchant Portal must complete GreenSky's Merchant User Training. Users that need to complete their training will be prompted to do so by a banner at the bottom of the Estimate and Apply screen in Credit for Comfort, a link to the training is included.
That means, as a contractor, you and all of your employees that have access to GreenSky through Credit for Comfort or GreenSky's portal MUST complete the Merchant User Training. Those that fail to complete the training will not be able to submit a GreenSky loan application through the Merchant Portal, Credit for Comfort App, or via the web application.
You can still submit applications by calling GreenSky with your Customer. Your Customers must be present in order to submit an application by phone.
